This October, the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) marked its 40th anniversary, briniging togther industry leaders, policymarkers, and innovators for an insightful event dedicated to exploring the future of science and innovation in the UK.
The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including the Chief Scientific Adviser from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, who delved into the critical intersection of Science Parks and achieving Net Zero targets. Attendees gained valuable insights on enabling the clean energy transition, emphasising the role of innovation ecosystems in accelerating sustainable solutions.
A key highlight of the evnt was the panel on "Developing and Shaping an Effective Innovative Ecosystem," where thought leaders discussed strategies to enhance collaboration between research institutions, industry stakeholders, and government bodies. This session underlined the importance of creating environments where cutting-edge research can seamlessly translate into impactful, real-world applications.
